Shack Attack

Karen kindly sent along some photos of yours truly cutting a tree at The Shack.

It's nice to see that orange goes with everything, but those trou just don't flatter my girlish figure. Better go back to the chaps....

    Jesus, Billy, that's a honkin' tree! Glad to see you've got the wedge going. Hardwood or softwood?

    Maybe the best ten bucks I've ever spent on that wedge. Thanks for recommending them, Rob. Like Zardoz, my life is marked in the before and afters with the wedge too.

    It was a silver birch. Really too big for my 16" bar Stihl 260. I turned to Dave and Karen at one point and said, "We're gonna need a bigger saw!".

    But the tree came down. I'd just prefer not to be cutting from both sides. That and the saw chain was dull and I'd forgotten my file. Ah, well.

    'twas a fine cuttin' job B. Most impressive! Bill cutter down and she fell perfectly between the trees down to the water. Nicely placed B, nicely done indeed.
